Time to play!

The sun has come out today, I think it must have known that I’d had enough of that grey snow cloud light that just never feels like day time.

Dawn yesterday the sepia isn’t an effect that’s just how the light looked!

So much snow in one night even surprised Toby and when he was confronted with this first thing yesterday morning looked at me as if asking whether he really had to.

Once things had brightened up a bit he was happier than a pig in…well you know the saying.

Since I haven’t been at work today (a very welcome day off after yesterday) I’ve finally got around to clearing my driveway and some of the footpath of the snow while Toby watched from the front door.

Well he’d been such a good boy, once I was done we went out back and had a snowball fight!

Is that a snowball?

Is that a snowball?

Toby does love the snowballs!

It is a snowball! I’m ready!

I’m not much good at action shots with my phone…it’s very slow at taking the photo and I always seem to miss the exciting bits!

IMAG0046

I’m sure it’s round here somewhere…but where?!

IMAG0048

Found it!

Another one please mum!

I did start building a snowman, decided that it should be a snow dog and ended up looking sort of like a snow gorilla! But I didn’t finish it and now the suns gone down I can’t get a good picture of it. Maybe I’ll finish it tomorrow morning before I get ready for my evening shift either that or just let it stay as a big snow blob until it melts!

Toby loves the snow and having him around does make you think like a kid when it comes to snow! But I will be much much happier when it all goes away again…had enough of it now

Mummy agrees with you about being bored of the snow!

    • If it could stay in the garden but get off the roads it would make me very happy lol. We have had fun today with lots of fur baby cuddles :) Though I bet Toby would have loved to be playing with Misaki instead of me in the garden! lol

  2. Gosh, he’s a sweetheart! That first picture is amazing. I’ve enjoyed your and Toby’s adventures lately, even though I haven’t commented. Thank you for sharing them!

    • Thank you :) I only wanted to take it to show people the washing line that was now so covered in snow it was inches thick! I’ve been trying to make this blog a bit more…upbeat, separated the more intense stuff into another page and Toby is the happiest thing in my life usually! Glad you’ve enjoyed reading about him, he’s my little guardian angel :)

    • It’s great when I’m not at work! We can play in it, I don’t have to go anywhere…Toby enjoys running around in it and eating as much as possible :) Oh no! I hate it when it’s icy, people never seem to realise how dangerous icy weather is. Mind you….at the moment I’d happily swap if it meant not getting stuck in snow again! lol xx

  6. Looks like Toby had lots of fun and you did too! That first pic sure is overcast/dark if it’s not intentionally the sepia effect. Was that morning or afternoon? It’s been snowing here since this morning. Had to see my doctor too early this morning when the snow and visibility was at its worst. The roads were slippery even with snow tires and studs on them. Wasn’t exactly ideal but I needed my prescription renewed and you have to make an appointment to get it done.

    • That was around dawn yesterday when I first got up with Toby. Oh no! Glad you have your tires and studs on at least I dread to think what it would have been like if you hadn’t…we’d have been having a repeat of my escapades yesterday :S Glad you made it OK, fingers crossed you won’t have to do it again for a while xox

      • Thanks, I was glad too! It was very poor visibility going in, coming home was better though.

The snow is really beginning to get to me. We don’t usually get this much so often. Usually we’ll have it snow a few times during the month but it’s been fairly steady since the start of Jan. I’m not happy. It’s rained in between and washed away the snow only to snow again. Blah!

  7. Great photos!
I had to look back to see what you meant about your washing line, amazing.
Just curious, how many hours sunlight do you get in winter?
And I’d love to see that gorilla!
Love to you and Tobes ♡

    • Thank you :) It always baffles me how the snow manages to cling to the washing line when it does that!
Hmmmm around 8 hours of day light at the moment….but real sunlight? not a lot and it’s one of the big issues I have around this time of year I think. SAD (seasonal affective disorder) is a problem here and I keep thinking of getting a light box that is supposed to help with it.
I’ve not finished the gorilla still, slept in this morning and now I have to start priming myself for an evening shift at work :( I don’t want to go, my tummy has been in knots since I woke up.
Love to you too dear one with lots of wags from Toby too xox
